Happy May Day!

I've been hearing about May Day for a week, and was admittedly not sure what all this was all about.

So I'm going to celebrate the random flowers I've taken pictures of the past few days, around my home and out in the country.

Here's a couple excerpts from wikipedia. I will choose this for my May Day celebration.
May Day was also celebrated by some early European settlers of the American continent. In some parts of the United States, May Baskets are made. These baskets are small and usually filled with flowers or treats and left at someone's doorstep. The basket giver would ring the bell and run away. The person receiving the basket would try to catch the fleeing giver. If they caught the person, a kiss was to be exchanged.
And this:
The earliest May Day celebrations appeared in pre-Christian times, with the festival of Flora, the Roman Goddess of flowers.

And of course, it wouldn't be a lovely spring day if there weren't a few pictures of my fur babies at play!

If she wasn't so cranky, she should have been a complete cat model. Yeah, I think so.
