Strap on 100 pounds

A friend of mine said something to this effect tonight, and I felt it was important to share.
If you believe that ALL obese people are lazy, I ask you to do this: Take a backpack and fill it up with 100 lbs (almost the amount I've lost in the past 7 months). Carry it around for one day, and never take it off. I want you to try to walk stairs, go to toilet and try to wipe, even try to exercise, feel your bones. Then give me a call.
Not every obese person wants to be better, not all try, but there are many obese people who want better- some of us just don't know how to get there or are too afraid to make the steps.

I said to my husband tonight, "I want to put 100 lbs on my back and try to walk around, see how it feels".
He looks at me in shock and horror, "but you'll throw out your back!!!"

I can't help but laugh- I threw out my back three times when I was 235+. But that doesn't mean I don't want to do it to see how hard it actually was.

So when I hit my century mark (in 6 pounds), I'm planning on doing that. That will be a part of my celebration.
