My vision. My life.

In the last eighteen months, I have been on a crazy rollercoaster!

August 12th, I had my sweet little girl. It is crazy to think in just 7 weeks, she will be one year old! My husband received a promotion and he will complete that training soon. His training leaves me to care for our daughter during the week alone, but it's better now since she won't remember him being gone. Once his training is complete, we will be moving across the country to Arizona. It's been a crazy year, and we're only halfway done!

We go through so many changes in life- roles in our families, changes in careers, even huge moves across the country. I find myself at a point in my life with so many changes presented to me, while still finding out who I am as a person.

Along this path of self-discovery, I will share my life with you, my opinions, things I love, and even the most mundane. My ramblings. If you love random, you're in the right place. You'll see me discuss my husband and daughter, our two dogs and two cats, family life, life after bariatric surgery, bargain hunting, antiquing/junking, dumpster diving on trash night, my favorite things, decorating our home,  DIY projects, re-doing some crafty something, cooking, gardening, random household projects, parenting, relaxing, taking my dogs on walks, and just enjoying my life.

Thanks again for reading. Come back again soon.

  1. I am curious as to how your dumpster diving has been going - I know in our neighborhood we are all good about leaving stuff we don't need out on the lawn at night and it magically disappears before morning - a great way to reuse and recycle. And we're always talking about what we have picked up as well: I saved a ton on buying aquarium rocks thanks to a neighbor who put a huge bag on her lawn one night!

  2. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster ride right now. Things seem to be so bad, I hope that things change for the better soon.

  3. Thank you for sharing this with us. I don't dumpster dive but I do give away and receive items through Freecycle.

  4. hey, my son was born on aug 12th too! He's all grown up now (sniff sniff) :(
I think we are all always learning who we are as a person. Self discovery should never stop, as we find valuable nuggets along the way. :)

  5. Time goes by so quickly. I remember when mine were babies. Now, they're grown with families of their own.
