Happy New Year- new beginnings

hot cocoa ramblingsofmitzy blog WLS proteincocoaHappy New Year friends! I know, a couple silent months.
Sigh. I needed a break. I know neglecting you guys is never okay, but I had to focus on the family, and I won't lie- MYSELF. We must accept and admit that we need to focus on ourselves, no matter what.

We are important. Our happiness is important. You are important.

I always love New Year's. You get a fresh start. You wash off the dirt and drama of the year past, and hopefully, grow from the lessons learned. Bridges are crossed, occasionally burned, but that doesn't mean that someone cannot start anew. Even if you weren't the person who DID the burning and don't even understand why, it doesn't matter. You cannot control others' actions (or reactions) and cannot make anyone believe what they refuse to see- even when it is the truth. That's the beauty of the New Year (and the coming spring), you get to start fresh, despite all the ugly, the lies, the beautiful and those who come out on the other end unscathed.

Things are well in the Bowman household. Little Miss A (aka the Nugget), is doing phenomenal and is growing like crazy. She's walking, talking and picking up everything. It's awesome watching her little personality grow. She's very observant of everyone and everything (like her Daddy), but quick tempered and easy to hurt (like her mama). She is funny and loves her puppies. Hubby is also well, he's enjoying the new position and is making friends with co-workers.

I recently accepted a position working in pediatrics again, and I love it. I'm still sitting  happily at MY personal goal weight, dropped those few pounds of post-baby regain (they WEREN'T baby weight, I won't lie), and still fit in my jeans. And not my fat jeans, either.

A couple days ago, I accepted a position writing as a contributory blogger for The Nurse Mommy blog, started by my friend Paige. I'll be posting future product reviews over there, while keeping things here personal and all-things-random. :) For now, I will go do some paperwork and enjoy my warm cup of hot cocoa from scratch.

  1. I really wish the new year would roll around in the spring or early summer. I'm not one to make a resolution but if I did it would be be easier to start anything in warmer weather.

  3. I try not to make any new year resolutions. I've done it before and honestly, forget about it.
